The invention relates to a novel shutter steel gate. The novel shutter steel gate comprises a buttress and a gate plate arranged at a weir crest of a storage dam. The novel shutter steel gate also comprises a hinge and a hydraulic oil cylinder, wherein the gate plate is connected to the buttress through a hinge. In an impounding state, the gate plate inclines toward the buttress, and the gate plate and the buttress are separately connected to two ends of the hydraulic oil cylinder; and a waterstop groove formed in the weir crest of the storage dam is formed below the lower end of the gate plate, a rubber gasket is arranged in the water stop groove, and an inclined baffle plate mounted at the weir crest of the storage dam is arranged on the front side of the water stop groove. The novel shutter steel gate is simple in structure. By adopting the structure of the novel shutter steel gate, the whole steel gate can operate stably and reliably, so that the storage dam manufacturing cost is lowered greatly and the novel shutter steel gate is good in integral sealing effect.
