The invention relates to a light composite type sound absorber, and belongs to the field of environmental noise control. The light composite type sound absorber comprises a micro-perforated compositeboard and a rigid back lining wall, wherein the micro-perforated composite board comprises a micro-perforated front panel, a porous material and a micro-perforated rear panel which are sequentially superposed; sound absorbing holes are formed in the micro-perforated front panel and the micro-perforated rear panel; a back lining air layer is formed in a gap between the micro-perforated composite board and the rigid back lining wall; the thickness of the back lining air layer is at least five times that of the micro-perforated composite board; the micro-perforated composite board is of a sandwich structure, and is formed by superposing the micro-perforated front panel, the porous material and the micro-perforated rear panel, and the micro-perforated composite board is light in mass, and is high in specific strength; and meanwhile, the sound absorber has a relatively wide sound absorbing frequency band in medium-low frequency. The light composite type wide-frequency-band sound absorber issimple to prepare, is convenient to mount, and has wide market prospect in sound absorption and noise reduction in interior decoration and a limited space.
