The invention discloses a low-frequency vertical tuned mass damper with a negative stiffness nonlinear energy trap, and belongs to the technical field of structural vibration control. The tuned mass damper comprises a bottom plate, a thrust bearing, a spiral spring, a ball screw, a ball nut, a mass block, a moving permanent magnet set, a fixed steel plate, a fixed permanent magnet set, a sliding bearing and a copper flywheel. The tuned mass damper has the negative stiffness nonlinear energy trap characteristic by utilizing the nonlinearity of the attraction force between the moving permanent magnet set and the fixed permanent magnet set; the equivalent vibration mass of the tuned mass damper is amplified through a ball screw type inerter mechanism, the vibration reduction effect of the tuned mass damper is improved, and meanwhile the problem that the net elongation of a spring of an ultralow-frequency vertical tuned mass damper is too large is solved. The low-frequency vertical tuned mass damper integrates the advantages of a nonlinear energy trap and a tuned mass damper, and broadens the control frequency band of the tuned mass damper; and meanwhile, the durability of the low-frequency vertical tuned mass damper is improved by adopting an eddy current damping technology.
