The invention discloses a buffer zone construction mode and width defining method based on pollution interception. The method comprises following steps: at first rainwater is collected, a large amountof rainwater data is tested and analyzed to form a whole set of database of various types of buffer zones, each type of buffer zones has a batch of total nitrogen and total phosphorus data of rainwater under different width conditions, the interception efficiency of each type of buffer zones with different widths on total nitrogen and total phosphorus can be calculated according to the total nitrogen and total phosphorus data, a relational graph between the widths and interception rates of various types of buffer zones is formed, corresponding relational expressions are obtained;the most effective buffer zone type for intercepting total nitrogen and total phosphorus is determined according to the relational graph between the widths of various types of buffer zones and the interception efficiency, the corresponding buffer zone type and width in the database are determined according to the setting of the buffer zone ecological construction on the pollution interception rate and width, and finally an optimal buffer zone construction mode is formed. The method improves the accuracy and scientificity of the buffer zone construction mode and the width thereof, and is suitable for application and popularization.
