The invention relates to a hung ceiling system. The hung ceiling system comprises hanging rods, keels for connecting the hanging rods and a ceiling for connecting the keels; the two adjacent keels areparallel to each other; the ceiling comprises a plate body and at least two hooks for connecting the plate body; a height difference is arranged between the top surface of the plate body and the bottom surfaces of the keels; the hooks are distributed on the two opposite sides of the plate body in a staggered mode; and the hooks extend to the top surfaces of the keels from bottom to top and are connected to the keels in a hooking mode. Meanwhile, the invention further provides an installation mode of the hung ceiling system. The hung ceiling system and the installation mode of the hung ceilingsystem have the beneficial effects that a way of connecting the hooks with the keels in a hooking mode is used, the ceiling is directly hung on the keels, the structure is simple, installation of secondary keels is relieved, material utilization amount is reduced, the on-site installation time is shortened, the installation efficiency is improved, abutting between the hooks and the keels is quitesimple, and installation and disassembly are simple and convenient. In addition, the hooks are connected with the keels in a hooking mode, installation stability of the ceiling in the vertical direction can be improved, and the risk of the ceiling falling off is reduced.
