The invention discloses a bridge flutter suppression device and a using method thereof. The suppression device comprises a stabilization plate, the stabilization plate is arranged in the middle of thewidth direction of the bridge, the stabilization plate is arranged in the bridge direction, the width direction of the stabilization plate is arranged in the vertical direction, the width of the through groove is matched with the thickness of the stabilization plate, anemometers are arranged on the two sides of the bridge and used for collecting incoming wind characteristic data, and the stabilization plate can ascend and descend. The device is adopted according to the characteristics of incoming wind, the stabilization plate is adjusted to ascend or descend; namely, the upward and downward extension ratio of the stabilization plate is adjusted, and flow fields near the upper and lower surfaces of the bridge are changed, so that the flutter stability of the bridge under the condition of different wind characteristics is improved, the applicability of the flutter suppression device in the aspect of improving the flutter stability of the bridge is expanded, the flutter suppression device is particularly suitable for bridge engineering of mountainous terrains with complex wind environments, and the safety and stability of the bridge in the actual operation process are effectively guaranteed.
