The invention discloses a sealing device for a transmission shaft of a grate cooler. The sealing device comprises a shell, a movable hole is formed in the side wall of one side of the interior of theshell, sliding grooves are fixedly formed in the upper end and the lower end of the interior of the shell correspondingly, sliding blocks are movably arranged in the sliding grooves, and a first support is fixedly installed in the middle of the side, away from the side wall of the interior of the shell, of each sliding block; a clamping ring is fixedly installed at the ends, away from the inner side wall of the shell, of the first supports, sealing plates are fixedly arranged on the two sides of the clamping ring, a plurality of extrusion blocks are fixedly installed on the two sides, away from the clamping ring, of the sealing plates correspondingly, and second supports are fixedly installed at the two ends of the sides, away from the inner side wall of the shell, of the sliding blocks correspondingly; and a plurality of tightening screws are movably installed on the outer side surfaces of the second supports through threaded holes. The device is good in use effect, lubricating oil can be automatically dropped into the device through vibration of the device while sealing is carried out, which is simple and convenient.
