The invention discloses a railway turnout zone reinforcing structure and reinforcing method. The structure comprises a plurality of turnout sleepers and metal groove pieces arranged between the turnout sleepers; each metal groove piece is made of a metal plate and comprises a bottom plate, two side plates and two extension plates; the two side plates are connected to the two sides of the bottom plate and define an upward groove area together with the bottom plate; the two extension plates extend outwards from the tops of the two side plates respectively; the extension plates are fixedly connected with the corresponding turnout sleepers; an area below the metal groove piece is filled with concrete. According to the railway turnout zone reinforcing structure and reinforcing method of the invention, connecting structures between pull rod grooves, connecting rod grooves and turnout sleepers required by a turnout zone point switch are reinforced, so that a thin concrete wall which cannot beprovided with reinforcing steel bars can be effectively reinforced, meanwhile, concrete can be prevented from being peeled off, and the safety of a rail system is guaranteed.
