The vehicle trunk opening method comprises the steps that motion data of anupper limb of a target object located in a vehicle trunk detection zone are obtained; the swing amplitude and/or swing frequency of the upper limb is extracted from the motion data; the swing amplitude and/or swing frequency in the motion data of the upper limb are/is compared with corresponding threshold values, and if the swing amplitude and/or swing frequency are/is smaller than the corresponding threshold values, it is determined that the target object is in the constraint state; and if it is judged that the upper limb is in the constraint state, a trunk of the vehicle is controlled to beopened. According to the method, when the target object is located in the vehicle trunk detection zone, the trunk of the vehicle is controlled to be opened or not according to the swing amplitude and/or swing frequency of the upper limb of the target object, accordingly, convenience is brought to a user, the control intelligentization is effectively improved, the requirements of the user are met,and the use experience of the user is improved.
