The invention relates to the technical field of building materials, and relates to a thermal insulation building block brick utilizing building wastes, wherein the thermal insulation building block brick comprises the following components in parts by mass: 80 to 85 parts of water, 85 to 95 parts of a fine aggregate, 25 to 30 parts of Portland cement, 10 to 15 parts of lime, 3 to 6 parts of gypsum,110 to 120 parts of construction waste powder with the particle size of 0.1 to 0.3 mm, 0.2 to 0.5 part of aluminum powder, 5 to 7 parts of rosin, 1 to 2 parts of fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether,1 to 3 parts of astaxanthin, and 0.5 to 1 part of glutathione. A preparation method of the thermal insulation building block brick utilizing construction waste comprises the following steps: S1, mixing the fine aggregate, construction waste powder and water to form slurry; S2, adding the rest components of the building block brick to form concrete slurry; S3, pouring into a mold, and standing for10-12 h; S4, disassembling the mold, and cutting to form a building block brick blank; and S5, carrying out autoclave molding. The thermal insulation building block brick has the effects that the waterproof performance of the building block brick is enhanced, and the compressive strength and the breaking strength of the building block brick are not easily influenced.
