The invention relates to an electric cooking appliance. The electric cooking appliance comprises a box body, a door body, a clamping part and a locking assembly. The clamping part and the locking assembly are both arranged on the door body, and the door body is arranged on the box body in an openable and closable mode. And the limiting part is arranged on the box body. When the door body covers the box body, the clamping parts are clamped on the limiting parts in the clamping direction, and the stability of the door body covering the box body is improved. The locking assembly limits the clamping part to move in the clamping direction, and the situation that the door body is pulled to directly achieve the door opening action is avoided. When the door needs to be opened, the locking assemblyis firstly driven to move relative to the door body, so that the locking assembly relieves limitation on the clamping part, then the door body is pulled to enable the clamping part to move in the clamping direction conveniently, then the clamping part breaks away from clamping of the limiting part, and opening of the door body relative to the box body is achieved. In the door opening process of the cooking electric appliance, the door opening action can be achieved only through at least two steps of operation, misoperation is effectively avoided, and the use safety is improved.
