The invention relates to dredging equipment and a dredging ship thereof. The dredging ship and an underwater dredging device of the dredging equipment are connected through a connecting rope structure, wherein the dredging ship is provided with an accommodating space matched with the underwater dredging device in shape and used for accommodating the underwater dredging device; an opening for the dredging ship to pass up and down is formed below the accommodating space; and a hoisting mechanism connected with the connecting rope structure and used for hoisting the underwater dredging device isarranged at a position, close to the upper part of the accommodating space, on the dredging ship. According to the dredging equipment and the dredging ship thereof, in the dredging process, the underwater dredging device is lowered onto a riverbed below the dredging ship through the hoisting mechanism; and in the transportation process, the underwater dredging device is hoisted in the accommodating space through the hoisting mechanism, and the dredging ship is placed through the accommodating space and directly hoisted through the hoisting mechanism, so that no additional fixing structure needs to be additionally arranged on the dredging ship, and the use is convenient.
