The invention discloses height limiting equipment applied to roads and bridges. The equipment comprises a transverse connecting rod and supporting devices, first fixing plates are arranged at two endsof the transverse connecting rod, each supporting device comprises a first supporting plate, a second supporting plate and a third supporting plate, the inner side of the first supporting plate and the inner side of the second supporting plate are both provided with a first sliding groove matched with the first fixing plates, and the first fixing plates can move up and down in the first sliding grooves. The height of the transverse connecting rod can be adjusted, first fixing rings and first connecting sleeve pipes are arranged on the outer sides of the first fixing plates, the first connecting sleeve pipes are hooped by the first fixing rings, first connecting rods are arranged between the first supporting plates and the second supporting plates, the first connecting rods and the first connecting sleeve pipes are connected through threads, second connecting sleeve pipes are arranged at the tops of the first connecting rods, the second connecting sleeve pipes are pulled to drive the first connecting sleeve pipes to move up and down, and the convenience of adjusting the height of the transverse connecting rod is improved.
