The invention provides a wind vibration control device for a steel pipe component of a steel pipe tower. The wind vibration control device is arranged outside a circular section steel pipe component in a sleeving manner. The wind vibration control device comprises a cylindrical sleeve and spoilers. The spoilers are flexible components. The cylindrical sleeve is arranged on the circular section steel pipe component in a sleeving manner. One end of each spoiler is fixedly connected to the outer surface of the cylindrical sleeve along the axial direction of the cylindrical sleeve. On a basis of afundamental principle of changing a dynamic shape, the spoilers can play roles of disturbing vortex formation and inhibiting vortex-induced vibration of the circular section component. The wind vibration control device is clear in principle and high in practicality.
