The steel bar wire-twisting mechanism comprises a transmission rod assembly, a wire-twisting main body anda twisting claw; the transmission rod assembly is partially sleeved with the wire-twisting main body, the transmission rod assembly comprises a mandrel, a compression spring, a pull sleeve and a clamping plate, the compression spring is sleeved on the mandrel, one end of the compression spring is fixed on the mandrel, and the other end of the compression spring is in contact with the end face of the pull sleeve; a counter bore is formed in the end face of the pull sleeve, one end of the mandrel is matched with the counter bore in the end face of the pull sleeve, an installation hole is formedin the circumference of the pull sleeve, and the clamping plate is installed in the installation hole and protrudes out of the inner cylindrical surface of the counter bore in the end face of the pullsleeve. The overall operation of the wire-twisting mechanism is smoother through improvement of various structures, and abnormal influence caused by the problem of the wire-twisting mechanism is avoided, so that the quality and the service life of the steel bar binding machine are improved as a whole.
