The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a water permeable brick, and in particular, relates to the method for manufacturing the water permeable brick by combining waste glass with waste ceramic, wherein the method comprises the following steps: S1, batching, wherein the ingredients comprise bottom-layer brick material ingredients, surface-layer brick material ingredients, colorless ceramic base glaze ingredients and colored ceramic base glaze ingredients, and the bottom-layer brick material ingredients and the surface-layer brick material ingredients each comprise waste ceramic particles and waste glass particles; S2, mixing: mixing the bottom-layer brick material and the surface-layer brick material; S3, aging; S4, pressing the aged bottom-layer brick material into a water permeable brick bottom layer on an automatic hydraulic machine; S5, pressing the aged surface-layer brick material into a water permeable brick surface layer on an automatic hydraulic machine to obtain awater permeable brick blank, and pressing the water permeable brick surface layer on the water permeable brick bottom layer; S6, drying: drying the brick blank at the temperature of 70-90 DEG C for 24 h or more; and S7, firing: firing the dried brick blank in a tunnel kiln at the temperature of 1150-1350 DEG C. The ceramic water permeable brick manufactured by the method is good in water permeability, high in breaking strength and good in compressive strength.
