The invention relates to application of the Internet-of-Things technology in the irrigation field, in particular to a control system and control method of a farm irrigation gate. Control can be convenient and rapid, a communication method is simple, energy consumption of the single irrigation gate is low, and therefore the size of a storage battery is small, the storage battery can be directly mounted on the gate structure, and system erecting is more convenient. The farm irrigation gate comprises a cloud platform used for being in communication with a main gate, the main gate used for being in communication with the cloud platform and sub-gates and the multiple sub-gates used for being in communication with the main gate. The main gate comprises a first storage battery used for supplyingpower to the main gate, a control module, a wireless communication module used for being in communication with the cloud platform and a first Lora wireless communication module used for being in communication with the sub-gates. The control module is electrically connected with the wireless communication module and the first Lora wireless communication module and is electrically connected with thefirst storage battery.
