The invention provides a thermoluminescent detection material and a preparation method thereof, wherein the thermoluminescent detection material comprises the following raw materials by weight: 90-110parts of lithium fluoride, 0.2-1.5 parts of calcium oxide, 0.05-0.12 part of magnesium oxide, 0.02-0.1 part of copper oxide, and 0.06-0.15 part of phosphorus pentoxide. The thermoluminescence detection material prepared by the method can effectively improve the luminescence curve characteristic of the thermoluminescence detection material, improve the sensitivity of the thermoluminescence detection material in a conventional measurement interval and reduce the dispersity of the thermoluminescence detection material.
