A flush toilet rests on a floor and comprises (a) a toilet bowl; (b) a first water conduit comprising a first conduit-first end and a first conduit-second end; (c) a second water conduit comprising asecond conduit-first end and a second conduit-second end, and at least one water pump which is hydrodynamic rather than electrically powered, wherein (i) the first conduit-first end is operatively connected to an external water pipe comprising pressurized water, (ii) the first conduit-second end is positioned to allow the supply of the pressurized water to the water pump, and (iii) the second conduit-first end is operatively connected to receive the water from the water pump; the water pump is positioned proximal to the toilet bowl and is positioned between the toilet bowl and a floor, and thetoilet is configured such that the effect of water on the at least one pump allows at least 6 liters per second of flushing.
