The invention discloses a tray type elevator for building construction. The tray type elevator comprises a support frame, wherein a U shaped rack is fixedly connected with the middle of the top innerwall of the support frame; a rolling disc is rotatably connected with the inner wall of one side of the U shaped rack through a bearing; a plurality of guiding rods are fixedly connected between the two sides of the bottom inner wall of the support frame and the two sides of the top inner wall of the support frame; a sliding sleeve is in sliding fit with the outer wall of each of the guiding rods;a side plate is fixedly connected with one side of the sliding sleeve; a fixed ring is fixedly connected with the top of the side plate; and a drawing mechanism is arranged between the fixed ring andthe rolling disc. The elevator can conveniently fix a second support tray and a third support tray, adjusts the shapes of the trays, carries out classified storage on different articles, presses a pressing plate on a construction article through a spring, carries out clamping and anti-falling treatment on the building article, lifts the building article and keeps tray lifting stability.
