The invention discloses a power generation set using highway speed bumps. The power generation set has the advantages that power can be stably generated, and a power generation structure is not proneto damage. According to the technical scheme, the power generation set comprises a buffer device, a transmission device connected with the buffer device, a power generation device connected with the transmission device, and an energy storage device connected with the power generation device; the buffer device comprises a speed bump wedge which protrudes out of the ground and is used for receivingthe mechanical energy of a vehicle, and the buffer device further comprises a speed bump flat plate located on the side, facing the ground, of the speed bump wedge, swing rods with the tops abutting against the lower surface of the speed bump flat plate, connecting rods hinged to the swing rods and pointing to the side away from the speed bump flat plate, and an elastic element with one end alwaysabutting against the swing rods; and the transmission device comprises a rack connected with the connecting rods and used for receiving automobile pressure conducted by the buffer device, a gear engaged with the rack, and a one-way coupler which is in interference fit with the gear, used for receiving the rotary motion of the gear and connected with the power generation device.
