The invention discloses an ecological revetment block suitable for a surf beat area. The ecological revetment block comprises a square block body, wherein a tank opened downward is arranged on the lower part of the square block body, and a plurality of holes connected to the tank are formed in the upper part of the square block body. The invention further discloses a revetment structure in the surf beat area using the ecological revetment block. The tank and the holes are filled with planting soil bodies, green plants grow in the holes, and the green plants are planted in the planting soil bodies. By dividing the structure into upper and lower parts, the self stability of the revetment and the plant growth effect are considered. As far as an upper structure subjected to ship waves, scouring of the ship waves to filling is reduced by way of opening few small holes. A lower structure is a cavity, so that the planting oil can be contained to the maximum extent, thereby providing an advantageous growth environment to survival of the green plants and development of the root systems.
