The disclosure relates to a storage device for flush toilet and a flush toilet. The storage device comprises a base and a limiting piece. The base is arranged on a water tank of a flush toilet and provided with a containing cavity used for containing articles, and a flip cover is arranged at the top of the base. The limiting piece is arranged in the containing cavity and comprises a limiting shaftarranged in an article in a communicating mode and an installation part connected with the limiting shaft, the installation part is connected with the base so as to keep the position of the limitingpiece relative to the base, so that other articles can be placed in the containing cavity, and the storage device can be conveniently used when people go to the toilet or wash and nurse the toilet. The storage device can be fixed to the water tank through the base, the space of the upper portion of the water tank is fully utilized, dry and wet separation of the storage device from the external environment can be achieved through the flip cover, so that dryness of articles is guaranteed, and the articles are prevented from breeding bacteria in the wet environment. The flush toilet comprises a toilet body and a water tank, and the storage device is arranged on the water tank. Therefore, the flush toilet has the same effect as the storage device.
