The invention discloses a chain climbing assisting mechanism of a mining rail type inspection robot. The chain climbing assisting mechanism comprises a walking mechanism driving the inspection robot to walk, and a climbing assisting mechanism body. The walking mechanism comprises walking wheels arranged on the inspection robot, and a walking rail, wherein the walking wheels drive the inspection robot to walk under limited guiding of the walking rail. The climbing assisting mechanism body comprises a chain wheel coaxially arranged with the walking wheels and a chain arranged on a ramp of the walking rail, wherein the chain wheel can be engaged with the chain. The chain climbing assisting mechanism of the mining rail type inspection robot can assist the inspection robot to reliably run whenthe robot goes up and down the ramp, sliding and slipping phenomena are avoided, orderly and normal inspection work of the inspection robot is guaranteed, system reliability of the inspection robot isimproved, the structure is simple, and the cost is low.
