The invention discloses a municipal sound barrier, and relates to the technical field of sound barriers. The municipal sound barrier comprises a shell, a panel hole and a sound-absorbing material. Theshell has a cuboid structure and comprises a panel, a back plate, an upper connecting plate and a lower connecting plate, wherein the panel and the back plate are arranged front and back. The panel hole is formed in the panel; the edge of the upper side of the panel is folded towards the back plate to form an upper flange; the upper edge of the back plate is folded towards the panel to form an upper flange, the lower edge of the panel is folded towards the back plate to form a lower flange, the lower edge of the back plate is folded towards the panel to form a lower flange, two opposite sidesof the upper connecting plate are abutted against the lower side of the upper flange and are fixedly connected with the upper flange, and two opposite sides of the lower connecting plate are abuttedagainst the upper side of the lower flange and are fixedly connected. The sound absorption materials are soft materials and have good sound absorption performances, the noise is absorbed by the soundabsorption materials after entering the outer shell from the panel holes, so that the noise around a road is greatly reduced; and the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate are used forbeing connected with the panel, and assembling is convenient.
