The embodiment of the invention provides a torsion bar overturning mechanism for opening and closing a cabin cover and an automobile. The torsion bar overturning mechanism comprises the mounting part,a supporting part and an elastic part, wherein the mounting part is connected to a cabin cover; the mounting part is arranged at two ends of the supporting part; one end of the elastic part is connected to the adjusting part while the other end of the elastic part is connected to the supporting part; and the elastic part is used for providing elastic deformation energy in a cabin cover opening and closing process. The torsion bar overturning mechanism has the characteristic of providing bidirectional assistance of opening and closing the forward overturned cabin cover.
