The invention relates to an anti-overturning reinforcing device for a single-column type bridge, which belongs to the technical field of bridge reinforcing. The device comprise a plurality of short inhaul cables and a plurality of long inhaul cables. The short inhaul cables are evenly arranged on the left side and the right side of the support in the bridge direction, one end of each short inhaulcable is anchored in the main beam through the first anchoring end, and the other end of each short inhaul cable is anchored on the sliding block through a preformed hole in the support; sliding blocks are arranged in sliding grooves, and the sliding grooves are pre-buried in the top face of the pier. The long inhaul cables are arranged on the left side and the right side of the main beam in the bridge direction respectively, one end of each long inhaul cable is anchored in the main beam, the other end of each long inhaul cable penetrates through the main beam and the pier and is anchored in the pier foundation, and steering blocks are arranged at the corners, penetrating through the main beam and the pier foundation, of the long inhaul cables. The reinforcing device further comprises a plurality of hoops embedded in the pier, and a plurality of preformed holes for long inhaul cables to penetrate through are formed in the hoops.
