The invention discloses an external supply system for an artificial island pipe joint for relay extension of a floating tunnel. The external supply system comprises a material wharf, a breakwater, a harbor basin, a pipe joint transfer dock, a transition passage and a pipe joint steering platform, wherein the material wharf, the breakwater and the harbor basin are arranged outside the island; and the pipe joint transfer dock, the transition passage and the pipe joint steering platform are arranged inside the island. The inner end of the part, located outside the island, of the material wharf isarranged at one side of a shore-connecting structure close to the pushing side of the artificial island; the breakwater is located at the countercurrent end of the relaying artificial island; the harbor basin is a water area from the rear edge of the breakwater to the front edge of the material wharf; the opening door of the harbor basin is arranged at one side of the shore-connecting structure at the receiving side of the artificial island; the pipe joint transfer dock comprises a dock opening, a dock chamber and a dock tail; the transition passage is arranged between the dock and a pipe joint connection system of the artificial island; the pipe joint steering platform is arranged between the shore-connecting structure at the receiving side of the artificial island and the shore-connecting structure at the pushing side of the artificial island in the pipe joint connection system of the artificial island. The external supply system for the artificial island pipe joint disclosed by theinvention provides a convenient pipe joint supply way for the installation of the pipe joint of an extension section of the floating tunnel, and is low in cost.
