The invention discloses a wading railroad bed structure and a construction method thereof. The wading railroad bed structure comprises water retaining walls and transverse drainage pipes, the two water retaining walls are arranged on the two sides of a railway ballast respectively, the transverse drainage pipes are buried in a fill subgrade in the horizontal direction, the at least two transversedrainage pipes are arranged at intervals in the line direction, and the two ends of each transverse drainage pipe penetrate through the two sides of the fill subgrade respectively. The water retainingwalls can prevent flood from invading a ballast bed, flushing on the ballast, and influencing on railroad stability; the transverse drainage pipes provide a transverse channel for accumulated water on the ground surface, the situation that the stability of a railroad bed is affected due to the fact that surface water washes the railroad bed can be prevented, the operation and maintenance pressureof a drainage system of the railroad bed is relieved, and safety and stability of the railroad bed or a seasonal flood roadbed are guaranteed.
