The invention discloses a cornstalk sand barrier for sandy land treatment in a windy sand area and an arrangement method of the cornstalk sand barrier. The cornstalk sand barrier comprises a grid-likegroove zone; the groove zone is filled with soil after cornstalks inside grids are densely inserted into the groove zone; each grid is internally provided with a degradable water-storage nonwoven fabric layer, a vegetable layer, a mixed matrix layer and a thick kraft paper layer from top to bottom in sequence; and slash pine and grass seeds are planted inside the vegetable layer. The cornstalk sand barrier disclosed by the invention has good wind-proof, sand fixation and wind erosion resistance effects; the slash pine and grass seeds can grow rapidly under the effect of sand fixation; nativeherbaceous plants in the sandy land can also restore the ecology in a short time; and the cornstalk sand barrier is also environmentally friendly.
