The invention discloses a flow blocking device for a water conservancy project. The flow blocking device comprises a plurality of module components. Each module component comprises two flashboards which are symmetrical bilaterally, and each flashboard adopts a Q235 ordinary carbon constructional steel plate with thickness of 8-12mm. One end of each flashboard is inserted into a riverbed, the otherend of the flashboard is bent to form a horizontal plate, and a right-angle groove is formed in the horizontal plate. A V-shaped notch is formed in the side, inserted into the riverbed, of each flashboard, and the flashboard forms sharp angle parts on the two sides of the notch. The flow blocking device completes flow blocking and is also convenient for people to pass through.
