The invention discloses a floating object intercepting device for river regulation, and relates to the technical field of river regulation. The device comprises an intercepting mechanism and an impurity storage hopper; one surface of the intercepting mechanism is clamped with the impurity storage hopper; the intercepting mechanism comprises a fixed frame; the bottom surface of the fixed frame is fixedly connected with two spiral positioning anchors; a driving roller, a driven roller, reversing rollers and a set of limiting supporting rollers are rotationally connected between the inner surfaces of the fixed frame. The peripheral side surfaces of the driving roller, the driven roller and the two reversing rollers are connected with an annular blocking filter screen; the peripheral side faces of the limiting supporting rollers are attached to the annular blocking filter screen. Through the design of the intercepting structure and the impurity storage hopper, the intercepting and automatic cleaning work of river channel floating objects can be integrally completed, through the implementation of the automatic cleaning work, impurities can be effectively prevented from being accumulatedon the end face of the intercepting mechanism, and then the extrusion force borne by the intercepting mechanism is reduced.
