The invention belongs to the field of insulation boards, and particularly relates to a production process of an environment-friendly brucite composite insulation board. The process comprises the following steps of material preparation, wheel grinding, winnowing, impurity removal, dissolution, pulping, papermaking, drying, leveling and edge cutting. The composite insulation board has good heat preservation effect, low thermal conductivity, and improved heat efficiency, is energy-saving, pollution-free, free of dust emission, free of harm and toxicity, high in compressive strength which is twicethat of a traditional ceramic fiber plate. The composite insulation board is suitable for heat preservation and insulation of the bottom of a large electrolytic cell with the power being 400 KA or above, and is high in toughness, bendable, capable of protecting a calcium silicate plate against breakage and low in manufacturing cost which is a half of the cost of a traditional heat preservation material ceramic fiber plate.
