The invention relates to a connecting device of a building steel structure. The connecting device of the building steel structure comprises a plurality of steel structures, clamping assemblies arranged on two sides of a connecting position of the steel structures, clamping plates arranged on the outer sides of the clamping assemblies and a protective shell arranged on the outer sides of the clamping plates, wherein the steel structures, the clamping assemblies and the clamping plates are fixed through connecting bolts; the steel structures are provided with clamping grooves; each clamping assembly comprises two oppositely arranged clamping plates clamped between the corresponding two adjacent steel structures, and connecting plates fixed on two sides of the clamping plates; clamping stripsmatched with the clamping grooves are arranged on the connecting plates; the outer wall surfaces of the connecting plates are movably connected with the clamping plates; a plurality of limiting blocks are fixed on the outer side walls of the clamping plates; the protective shell comprises a first shell and a second shell which wrap the clamping plates; and sealing strips, sealing grooves and limiting grooves matched with the limiting blocks are arranged on the first shell and the second shell.
