The invention discloses a public washroom with the variable number of squatting pots. A men's room area comprises a urine area and men's squatting pots, a women's room area comprises women's squattingpots, and the men's squatting pots and the women's squatting pots are arranged on two sides of a passage; a partition mechanism comprises a partition door, a horizontal track and a track groove, thepartition door is connected with a moving seat, the moving seat is connected with track wheels, one track wheel is connected with a driving motor, the driving motor is connected with a motor controller, and a positioning mechanism is arranged on the moving seat; and the positioning mechanism comprises a steering engine, the steering engine is connected with a rudder controller and rotationally connected with a connecting rod, a moving rod is rotationally connected with the connecting rod, is in slipping connection with a fixed cylinder and is connected with a telescopic cylinder, a spring rodis in slipping connection with inside of the telescopic cylinder, a compression spring is arranged on the spring rod, and inserting holes are formed in the horizontal track. According to the scheme, distribution of the men's squatting pots and the women's squatting pots can be changed by moving the partition door, so that the squatting spots are sufficiently utilized, and the phenomenon of waste caused by the fact that the squatting spots of a public washroom are in idle is avoided.
