The invention provides an easy-to-use door handle lock which is suitable for a site without safety protection. A knob (3) of a door handle lock is rotatably provided with respect to a handle (2). Whenthe handle lock is observed from the front side, the knob (3) sets one direction as the longitudinal direction and makes the amplitude in the longitudinal direction larger than the amplitude in the orthogonal direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The knob can be rotated by pinching an amplitude portion in an orthogonal direction with a thumb and another finger. The part accommodatedin the handle accommodating part (13) of the base body in the collapsed state is provided with a bolt (44) which is retracted and extended along with the rotation of the knob. The handle accommodating part (13) is provided with a latch hooking part (17) for hooking the protruding latch (44), and the latch (44) can be retracted by pinching and rotating the knob (3), thereby releasing the latch (44) from the latch hooking part (17).
