The invention provides a hovering device, a door cover assembly and a washing machine. The hovering device comprises a damping device, wherein the damping device is provided with a connecting structure used for being connected with a rotatable structure, and the damping device can apply resistance torque to the rotatable structure in the closing process of a door cover; and the preset torque of the damping device is larger than the maximum torque generated by the gravity of the door cover to the rotatable structure in the closing process of the door cover, so that the door cover can hover at any position in the closing process. According to the hovering device, the door cover assembly and the washing machine, the preset torque of the damping device is larger than the maximum torque generated by the gravity of the door cover to the rotatable structure in the closing process of the door cover, so that the resistance torque of the damping device can offset the assisting torque of the gravity of the door cover at any position in the closing process of the door cover when the damping device is not affected by other driving force, and therefore the door cover can hover at any position inthe closing process, namely the door cover has a continuous hovering function, convenience is brought to a user, and the use comfort of the user is improved.
