The invention provides a water stop inspection and leakage treatment structure of a plunge pool structural joint and a water stop inspection and leakage treatment method. Hollow grooves are formed inthe positions, between upper water stop structures and lower water stop structures, of the structural joints between concrete plates forming a plunge pool, and the hollow grooves can be used as waterstop defect inspection channels and can also be used as leakage treatment channels; the plunge pool is divided into a plurality of inspection areas through water stop separation structures welded between the upper water stop structures and the lower water stop structures; the structural joints in the same inspection area communicate to each other, and the structural joints between different inspection areas do not communicate; and more than three steel pipes connected into a foundation gallery from the hollow grooves are pre-buried in each inspection area of the plunge pool and serve as a water inlet pipe, a water outlet pipe and an exhaust pipe for water stop inspection and a grout pipe and a grout outlet pipe for leakage treatment. The hollow grooves and the pre-buried steel pipes are both water stop inspection structures and the leakage treatment channels. According to the structure and the method, a water leakage position can be rapidly found, nondestructive repairing treatment isconducted, the hidden danger of plunge pool leakage is eliminated, and the dam flood discharge safety degree is improved.
