The invention relates to a river channel silt removing device and a use method thereof and relates to the water body treatment technology. The river channel silt removing device and the use method thereof are used for solving the problem that a common floating body is blocked when moving forwards in a mud flat. The device comprises a floating body and a sucking mechanism arranged on the floating body. The floating body is provided with a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism comprises a deviation rectifying rod hinged to the side wall of the floating body, a drive rod rotationally installed onthe floating body, a paddle hinged to the free ends of the deviation rectifying rod and the drive rod at the same time, and a drive assembly arranged on the floating body and used for driving the drive rod to rotate. The deviation rectifying rod, the drive rod and the paddle form a crank-connecting rod structure. Larger thrust can be generated when the range-stretching paddle is swung, the floating body has an upward ascending trend when the paddle presses the water surface or silt downwards, sinking of the floating body is reduced, and therefore the floating body can be better pushed forwards.
