The invention provides a damper for building earthquake resistance, and relates to the technical field of building dampers. The damper comprises a support and a lubricating device, wherein a first sliding rail is fixedly connected to the surface of the support; a second sliding rail is slidably connected to the surface of the first sliding rail; the first sliding rail and the second sliding rail are both in a cross shape; a sliding block is slidably connected to the side, away from the first sliding rail, of the second sliding rail; the lubricating device is arranged on the periphery of the sliding block; the lubricating device comprises four first springs, a barrel cover and an oil barrel; and one of the ends of the four first springs is fixedly connected with one side of the sliding block, and second connecting rods are fixedly connected to the ends, away from the sliding block, of the four first springs. According to the damper, the lubricating device is arranged, so that the problems that in the long-time using process, machines can rust or impurities such as dust can cause that the machines cannot slide normally and smoothly, the movement of the machines is hindered, and the normal work of the damper is influenced are solved.
