Detection of short term irregularities on road surface
The invention relates to detection of short term irregularities on a road surface. A method for providing information about road surface conditions, in particular road surface irregularities, under adriving vehicle having at least a first wheel, the method comprising: a) determining, with a wheel speed sensor, a wheel speed signal indicative of oscillations at the first wheel; b) determining an acceleration sensor signal indicative of a temporal movement of a vehicle chassis using one or more accelerometers in the vehicle, and c) determining a road surface condition, in particular a road surface irregularity, under the driving vehicle based on the wheel speed signal and the acceleration sensor signal.

The invention relates to detection of short term irregularities on a road surface.
