The device comprises movable bases, telescopic mechanisms, a laser measuring mechanism and an alarm mechanism; the movable bases are arranged in pairs; a driving channel for vehicles to pass through is formed between the pair of telescopic mechanisms; the lasermeasuring mechanism is installed at the output ends of the telescopic mechanisms and used for detecting whether a laser beam is shielded by the vehicles passing through the driving channel or not; thealarm mechanism is used for sending out alarm information when the laser beam is shielded by the vehicles. With the adjustable vehicle height limiting warning device of the invention adopted, a height limit can be adjusted conveniently, and a person can be prompted whether a vehicle meets a height limit requirement in front or not in time. The device is simple in structure; the mounting and dismounting processes of all parts are relatively simple. The adjustable vehicle height limit warning device is suitable for being used in emergency construction places or places with height requirements;and by utilizing the characteristics of a Wheatstone bridge, the interference of background illumination can be reduced.
