The invention relates to the field of shared devices, in particular to a fault identification device for a shared device and an intelligent lock. The fault identification device comprises a box body,sliding blocks, a shielding piece and a driving device; an accommodating space and a display window are arranged on the box body, and a device identification code is arranged in the accommodating space; the sliding blocks are fixedly connected with one end of the shielding piece, the other end of the shielding piece is connected with the box body, and the sliding blocks are slidably arranged in the accommodating space; in a non-fault state, the device identification code can be observed by the outside through the display window; and in a fault state, the driving device is used for driving thesliding blocks to move so as to drive the shielding piece to shield the device identification code. According to the fault identification device, when the shared device breaks down, the driving devicedrives the sliding blocks to slide to drive the shielding piece to shield the device identification code, so that a user is prevented from continuing to use the shared device; and the user can directly know the shared device fault information through the display window, and code scanning is not needed, so that the time of the user is saved. The intelligent lock comprises the fault identificationdevice.
