The purpose of the invention is to improve the responsiveness of the process to connect a communication unit and a key device not connected to a communication unit. A communication system (4) for an electronic lock comprises a communication unit (lock-side communication unit 41) and a management unit (43). A plurality of key devices (5) fewer than or equal to a first number of devices can wirelessly connect to the communication unit. When the number of key devices (5) connected to the communication unit reaches a second number of devices, the management unit (43) disconnects, from the communication unit, at least one key device of the key devices (5) from the second number of devices that are connected to the communication device.
