The invention discloses a safety protection device for building engineering construction, and relates to the technical field of construction protection devices. The device comprises four fixed bases installed at a pit opening on the ground, and the four fixed bases are distributed in the shape of a square; a connecting rod is connected between any two adjacent fixed bases; blocking bar structuresabutting against the inner side wall of the pit opening are arranged on the fixed bases; and a fence structure is arranged on the four fixed bases. Through the arrangement that the blocking bar structures are installed on the fixed bases, blocking bars of the blocking bar structures are blocked on the corner side of the square pit opening when in use, so as to realize the overall anti-movement ofthe protective device; at the same time, the fence structure is arranged on a foundation support formed by the fixed bases, the blocking bar structures and connecting rods, so that the protection of afoundation pit is achieved.
