The invention discloses cement and a production process thereof. The invention relates to the technical field of building materials. The cement is prepared from the following raw materials in parts byweight: 56-71 parts of clinker, 3-8 parts of fly ash, 5-11 parts of saltpeter, 0.2-0.4 part of modified alkali lignin and 11-35 parts of mineral powder, and the modified alkali lignin is prepared bycatalytic degradation of a phosphotungstic acid and hydrogen peroxide mixed system and activation of the alkali lignin. Due to the addition of the modified alkali lignin, the modified lignin is adsorbed on the surface of the ground material, and the attraction among material particles is reduced, so that the ground material is not easy to agglomerate, and the purpose of improving the grinding efficiency of the cement is achieved; the invention also provides a production process of the cement. The production process has the advantage of improving the mixing uniformity of the raw materials.
