Method for reducing expansibility of expansive soil
The invention discloses a method for reducing expansibility of expansive soil. According to the method, the expansive soil is treated by adopting a microbial induced calcium carbonate technology, sporosarcina pasteurii strains can generate urease in the metabolism process, urea can be decomposed into ammonium ions and carbonate ions, and due to the special structure of cell walls, the surfaces ofthe cell walls are negatively charged; when a solution contains calcium ions, the calcium ions can be adsorbed by cells, so that calcium carbonate crystals with a gelling effect are formed around themicrobial strains by taking the cells as crystal nucleuses, and the calcium carbonate crystals are attached to the surface of the expansive soil; and the calcium carbonate crystals are increased and gradually cemented together along with the proceeding of the metabolic reaction of microorganisms, so that expansibility development of the expansive soil is inhibited, and the method has the characteristics of low energy consumption, multiple types, abundant resources, environmental friendliness and the like.
