The shaft kiln comprises a feeding system, a shaft kiln body and a discharging system, wherein the shaft kiln body is divided into a preheating zone, a firing zone and a cooling zone from top to bottom; a preheating zone air outlet is formed in the kiln wall of the shaft kiln body of the preheating zone; a cooling zone air inlet is formed in the kiln wall of the shaft kiln body of the cooling zone; the preheating zone air outlet is connected with the cooling zone air inlet through a pipeline; a circulating fan is arranged on the pipeline to feed hot air of the cooling zone intothe preheating zone to preheat raw materials; and a natural gas combustion system is arranged on the shaft kiln body of the firing zone. Natural gas is used as fuel, environmental pollution is reduced, the structure of the kiln body is changed, and energy consumption is reduced.
