The invention provides light ceramic and a preparation process thereof. Raw materials include Dehua Banzi chinastone, Dehua Meihu albite, Youxi dolomite, Longyan kaolin, elutriated Longyan kaolin andTong'an black soil. The contents of SiO2, Al2O3, K2O, Na2O, Fe2O3, CaO and MyO in the Dehua Banzi chinastone are respectively 75.2%, 12.64%, 4.68%, 2.59%, 0.5%, 1.01% and 1.29%. According to the invention, through cooperation of the Dehua Banzi chinastone, the Dehua Meihu albite, the Youxi dolomite, the Longyan kaolin, the elutriated Longyan kaolin and the Tong'an black soil which are raw materials, the material blending effect of the light ceramic is enhanced; therefore, the preparation quality of the light ceramic is improved. The method comprises the following steps: weighing and selectingmaterials according to an equal ratio, crushing, screening, removing impurities, ball-milling, sieving, molding a mold blank, firing, drying, oxidizing, carrying out glaze firing treatment, scanning codes of finished products, and warehousing. The optimal effect of the materials is exerted, the processing compatibility of the materials is enhanced, the thermal stability and frost resistance of thelight ceramic are further improved, and the service lifetime of the light ceramic is prolonged.
