The invention discloses a foundation pit support structure and a construction method thereof, relates to the technical field of geotechnical engineering foundation pit support, and provides the foundation pit support structure with good water stop effect. The foundation pit support structure comprises foundation pit fender posts and at least one water stop structure arranged between the foundationpit fender posts, wherein the water stop structure comprises a steel plate, a flexible rubber water stop plate and a pile head; the flexible rubber water stop plate comprises a vertical plate and negative lock catches positioned at the two sides of the vertical plate; the top end of the steel plate is provided with a bending part; the pile head comprises a triangular cone structure, and a steel plate limiting slot is formed above the triangular cone structure; the two ends of the pile head are provided with connecting parts which are matched with the negative lock catches; the lower end of the steel plate is inserted into a steel plate limiting slot; the upper end of the vertical plate is embedded into the bending part of the steel plate; the lower end of the vertical plate is fixedly connected to the triangular cone structure; the negative lock catches of the flexible rubber water stop plate are sleeved by the connecting part of the pile head; and the negative lock catches of the flexible rubber water stop plate are in matched connection to positive lock catches of the fender posts. The water stop curtain does not need to additionally arrange for foundation pit engineering with water interception requirements, so that the manufacturing cost is effectively reduced.
